Corgi Food:
Fromm Gold Adult
We feed all of our adult dogs this food. For us this has the best ingredients with superior nutrition. Our dogs also receive a wide variety of different veggies, fruits and treats. From time to time, we like to give our Corgis my homemade dog food and bone broth that I make from scratch as a food topper and special treat. I want only the best for them!
This is the food your Corgi puppy is eating. Fromm is a family-owned business, and they truly care about the quality of their products! I also love the fact their food is made in small batches. Our breeding females also eat this food during pregnancy and lactation. It is higher in protein, fat, and overall calories which helps them keep their weight on and produce more milk. I also give my nursing girls cottage cheese, yogurt, my homemade dog food, homemade bone broth, cooked sweet potato, white rice, raw egg yolks, and lots of treats!
Our dogs love this as a food topper or when they decide they are being picky eaters that day. This company is amazing, and I really love all of their products. Of course, you can also make homemade bone broth for them if you have the time! I have a wonderful recipe I use.
I love this brand of canned dog food. Our Corgis will always get some for a special treat on birthdays and holidays, or even as a just because I love you.
I love feeding organic as much as I can. These treats are no exception - they are organic and grass fed! Plus, our Corgis love them. That's a total win in my book!
We recommend all of our new puppy parents to use these for the first 30 days after bringing home their Corgi and even beyond! These are especially great during periods of stress such as moving to a new home or for any tummy troubles. These are by far the best probiotics on the market. Go ahead and check out the reviews!
Health starts in the gut! This helps revitalize your Corgi's digestive tract to relieve digestive issues including diarrhea, constipation, upset stomach, stalled digestion, bloating and food intolerance; Reduces gas, stool odor, bad breath and the biggie with puppies - it firms up poop. After lots of trial and error with trying multiple products, we now use this for all of our Corgis along with our puppies when they first start eating. This works better than canned pumpkin. Try it for yourself!
Our dogs also love kale, broccoli, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, bell peppers, carrots, strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, and apples.
Crate Training:
We HIGHLY recommend crate training your Corgi puppy. It helps potty training to go faster as it reinforces all the groundwork that we have laid here and, gives them their own private space to sleep or have quiet time. It is also for their own safety while you are gone away at work, or even a trip to the store to be placed in a crate. Puppies will chew up shoes, carpet, rugs, furniture, wood trim, electrical cords and anything else that is left on the ground. Puppies are a lot like toddlers due to the fact that they explore the world around them with their mouths.
Plastic Kennel
My Corgis prefer plastic crates, my guess is because they are more den like. I have many plastic crates and highly recommend them! My adult dogs love to sleep in their crates and choose to do so freely.
This is a popular option if you feel a wire crate is a better fit for you. They are also more portable than your standard crate. I recommend covering these with a blanket at night to help your new puppy sleep. Using background noise like music or the TV also helps during those first few weeks. We recommend the 36" crate for any of our Cardigans.
If you go the wire crate route, I love connecting these to the crate for when you will be gone for longer periods of time. They will have an area to play, along with you being able to set up a potty area, along with food and water inside of the pen.
These are great to use underneath the grass potty area. I don't recommend using puppy pads on their own for multiple reasons. I believe it leads to more accidents in the house and puppies love to rip and shred them. Taking them out to the grass outside as soon as they wake up, and usually every few hours is always going to be your best bet.
These gates are essential for a young puppy's safety and for choosing which rooms to either keep your puppy in, or out of! I have purchased and used so many of these over the years. If you prefer not to use a crate, these are another option to keep your puppy on a laminate or other easily cleaned hard surface flooring during potty training.
We use this company for our microchips for our Corgi puppies. They also have amazing GPS collars. If you use my referral code R3W5M8 when buying a Fi collar, you get a free additional band with your purchase!
I find these adorable, unique and the stainless steel makes them long lasting. You can put a lot of information on the front and the back of the tag. Such as your Corgi's name, your name, address, phone number and whatever else you'd like.
Wilderdog makes excellent harnesses. I have never any issues with them getting tangled and I love the ease of how the harness comes together. They are long lasting, light weight, and have a reflective strap that also works as a handle. They are a small owned business and we love to support local and or small businesses whenever possible.
We love these leashes. I really like the look of a rope leash, and this pattern is very eye catching. This leash supports a small business and features genuine leather tailored connections.
These are a must have for a Corgi. I love the fact these are ceramic and not plastic. They are a nice quality, come in many different colors, and are very easy to wash.
The grip on the bottom of these bowls is wonderful. They really do prevent the bowls from sliding around or tipping over. Which is great for very hungry puppies!
I love this for our walks and outings just for the simple facts of it not being made from plastic, it not making noise bumping against your leash, and not cracking and breaking from being dropped.
This bed is almost identical to the one we have and our Corgis love! It has a non-slip bottom, an orthopedic memory foam insert, and a removable and washable cover.
This car seat is wonderful. Most dogs will curl up and take a nap while riding in this. It is machine washable and is top rated. I recommend purchasing the large size in any color you choose. A dog car seat will help to keep your Corgi secure during trips, so they aren't trying to climb into your lap while you are driving.
We now partner with BarkBox! Please use our custom link below if you would like to sign your Corgi up for their monthly signature treats and toys subscription box.
This is the best toy ever according to our Corgis. I buy these frequently and our dogs think it's Christmas every time they get a new one! We always recommend dog toys that are made in the USA such as Benebone.
Want to make your puppies day? Here you go! This puppy line is durable and quite firm to the human touch but is more forgiving for teething puppies than their normal bones.
You can put so many different things inside of these that your Corgi puppy will never get bored! You can use canned food or dry kibble, natural peanut butter, yogurt, cottage cheese, canned pumpkin, or even some carrots. You can freeze your Kong with broth in it to help soothe your puppy when they are teething. You can use any of the Kong treat products, and the list goes on and on!
These slow feeder lick mats help promote calmness as they lick their favorite snack from the textured surface. I like to use yogurt and peanut butter to keep them busy! These mats are great as they also suction to the floor.
These are great for your puppy! They will provide entertainment and an outlet for chewing. You put their kibble inside of the toys and they will enjoy figuring out how to get their reward.
These Himalayan yak cheese chews only have four ingredients! These chews are on the harder side, so we recommend not giving these until your puppy is at least 6 months of age.
These cow hooves are great because they come from grass fed cows. These keep our adult Corgis busy for HOURS! Please supervise while they are chewing and make sure you throw away any pieces they break off.
Snuffle mats are wonderful because they can be used in place of a slow feeder bowl and offer a lot of mental stimulation and enrichment for your Corgi.
I adore this toy mostly due to how cute it is, but also because it cashes in on my coffee and donut obsession. Just don't let them have this toy unsupervised, as we don't want them to eat all the stuffing inside!
We have a few Corgis that would play fetch for days if we let them. These are a surefire way that your Corgi will get exercise! These are extremely durable for the price and can withstand many sessions of fetch.
This brush is a MUST HAVE item for Corgis! I swear by this brush and recommend this product to all my friends who have a dog with a dual layer coat. I also used one for my horse!
This is a must have item for a Corgi! I am beginning to like this brush more than the Sleek Ez. You will not believe the fur you will remove with your weekly (or daily) brushing. Especially if you get a long haired or fluffy Corgi from us. This rake is perfect for de-matting that long gorgeous fur. This is the #1 rated rake on Amazon for dogs and cats!
This brush is fantastic for long haired fluffy Corgis. Their fur will look silky and floofy, just like they've been to the groomer! Plus, it is self-cleaning. If your Corgi is more sensitive to grooming, this is the brush I recommend as it is gentler than the rake above.
These tools are a game changer if your Corgi does not like their nails trimmed. Or if you are concerned with cutting their nails too short. Buying this will save you money in the long run versus having the vet or groomer trim their nails and if that ever becomes a necessity, give this a try!
I love using dog nail clippers like these. I am not a fan of the guillotine ones. These clippers in particular are great because they are adjustable, so you won't cut their nails too short. I recommend the junior size for puppies.
We use this shampoo on all of our Corgis because it smells amazing! I absolutely love the smell of lavender and the scent actually stays for a while. It deeply conditioners their fur and makes them so soft. I am also a huge fan of their puppy shampoo!
We love using this especially after a long walk in the summer, or before we go run errands with one of our Corgis. This is also a great product to use in-between baths. This helps to keep your Corgi smelling amazing and will keep your furniture and their bedding smelling better as a result. I also recommend their lavender and baby powder scents.
I will use these to wipe off their paws and bellies if they come in wet with lots of mud or debris on them. They are also convenient for a quick bath if you are short on time. They are hypoallergenic and what we like to use on our puppies.
Our Corgi's oral health is important to us. The majority of dog's show oral disease by age 3! Cleaning their teeth on a regular basis is very important. Their yearly dental cleaning is also a must!
I believe so strongly in taking good care of your Corgi's oral health. This is a super easy thing to use daily to help their breath stay fresh and ready for all those kisses!
We believe this product is one of the best heartworm combination preventatives out there. You can purchase this directly at your veterinarian or have your vet send your prescription to Chewy as they are usually a bit more cost effective.
We love Bayer's Seresto flea and tick collars. We have tried many different flea products over the years and I recommend this as the best flea collar out there.
If you are interested in the natural route, Diatomaceous Earth is awesome. There are so many uses for this product! It works great for fleas as all you have to do is rub the powder into their fur and sprinkle it over their bedding, but you must be consistent in your use.
We use this on our adults and on our puppies at 6 and 8 weeks old. It not only gets the worms, but it also helps kill Giardia. We use the brand name product, which is called Panacur, which is purchased through your veterinarian.
