Thank you so much for your interest in the wonderful Corgis we share our lives with! This is a lifelong dream that we've been building over the last 11 years. If you are considering getting a Corgi puppy, finding the right breeder is key. Here at Chloe's Colorful Corgis our goal is to breed and raise your next family member. Our program is founded on genetically and temperamentally sound, healthy, and beautiful Corgi puppies. We want to ensure each of our puppies goes to a loving home and that you feel confident about choosing us as your breeder! We currently breed CKC American Corgis, AKC Cardigan Welsh Corgis, and AKC Pembroke Welsh Corgis. We are located in Garrett, Indiana which is a short drive from many nearby cities such as Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Chicago, Detroit, and Cincinnati to name a few. We live in a rural area with several acres that we spend playing and chasing our Corgis all over on! All of our Corgi parents are health tested through Embark and Gensol to confirm no puppies produced by Chloe’s Colorful Corgis will be “at risk” for any Corgi related issues. |
We breed and strive for the whole Corgi package. We pride ourselves on only producing well rounded puppies. Puppies that are full of health, longevity, intelligence, personality, structure, and of course last but not least, beauty.
Temperament TestedA Corgi puppy's disposition develops as a result of two distinct events. One is inherited from its parents and is a genetic trait. The dog's socialization practices from a young age make up the second aspect. We have found that a dog that has been socialized appropriately is far more trainable, flexible, and well-balanced over the course of its entire life. Working towards our goal of raising well rounded puppies begins the first time we handle them just after birth. Each pup is handled several times a day thereafter and become a part of our daily lives.

Early SocializationSimple interactions early in a puppy’s life may increase its ability to learn and cope successfully with stress later on, which leads to better welfare outcomes. Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which involves applying gentle stressors to a very young animal for short periods of time, is thought to improve their stress responses later in life. The stressors—which often include removing animals from their litters for short periods, very briefly exposing them to cool temperatures, holding them in different positions, and gently touching parts of their bodies—are applied for a few seconds, once a day.

Healthy CorgisRaising exceptional Corgis starts with healthy parents. Each of our dogs receive yearly check-ups and their core vaccinations along with any preventatives. We prioritize their well-being above all. They are involved in our day-to-day and receive lots of love and attention. When breeding, we diligently research pedigrees to ensure only the healthiest bloodlines are being paired and only temperamentally and structurally sound puppies are being produced. A great amount of time, research, and health testing has gone into each and every one of the outstanding Corgis chosen to be in our breeding program.
